Seedling

The seed for the company was planted in 2006 when they couldn't find a meaningful and inspiring gift for children who had plenty of mass produced toys that were played with for 10 mins and then discarded.

They yearned for a good old-fashioned experience that meant time shared, skills gained and something that kids could really dig their teeth into.

Since then Seedling NZ has grown to a small passionate team designing, developing and creating all their own products right here in New Zealand.

They inject pure passion into their products allowing children to work with real materials and tools giving them a sense of mastery and achievement whilst having fun and engaging with adults.

Their product range started with four products and has now grown to over fifty. They now export their ideas around the world with their range stocked in stores throughout New Zealand, Australia, Canada and Japan.

Seedling is all about giving children the opportunity to explore their world and their abilities. A child's natural instinct is to get involved, give anything a go, think creatively and ask questions. Seedling creates kits to nurture this process and engage young minds, planting ideas that grow a passion for creative thinking. So get out there, give it a go and remember; it's the experience, not the end result, that is the most valuable thing you can give your kids.
